Botworthy Score v1 and v2

Before v3: where the score started

16 October 2026

October 2026. v2 weights. Each weight is now anchored to published citation research. Criteria with strong evidence gained weight (self-contained passages 8 to 12, lists and tables 12 to 14, named sources 7 to 10). Criteria without direct evidence lost some (question-led headings 10 to 6, short sentences 10 to 7, freshness 10 to 8). Totals still 100.

October 2026. Scoring script fixes, scores stay comparable with v2 weights: short openers such as "Yes." were being skipped so the second sentence was coded instead; dates written with the month name failed to parse and scored zero for freshness; articles updated in the last few days were counted as over 12 months old in the headline counts; sections opening with a table had the footnote under the table coded as the opener.

Before October 2026. v1 weights, set by practitioner judgement.
